Hello there!

Raised in East Tennessee, I appreciate biscuits, hot chicken, and the occasional ‘bless your heart,’ as any good Southerner does. Always one to doodle, I got my official start in the calligraphy world after a three week course in high school art class. In college I found myself studying abroad and, later, working in Spain which meant writing Spanish quotes and lyrics in beautiful styles. To this day, my favorite mantra to write is “Poco a poco” [se va lejos] which means “Little by little” [one goes far]. When I returned stateside, I helped family and friends  address envelopes and with wedding details. I put this newfound hobby to work by doing my own envelopes and signage for my Nashville wedding.

Now living outside of Milwaukee with my family (toddler & puppy included!), I use my “free time” as a calligrapher which brings such joy! The event world, especially the wedding world, holds a special place in my heart since envelopes,  place cards, signage, and escort cards all help to set the tone for a memorable day. I’ve always loved hosting parties and attention to detail, so to be part of a special day for couples and families in that way is a true honor.

Commission projects are also special to me because they highlight a unique opportunity to be a part of a gift or decor piece. Some of my favorite works are anniversary presents and blessings for new babies.

I am a member of IAMPETH, the International Association of Master Penmen, Engrossers, and Teachers of Handwriting, which offers phenomenal continuous education and networking opportunities. I am honored to have been voted the Wisconsin Bride magazine’s Best Calligraphy of 2022!

Outside of family time, I can be found hosting parties, volunteering, or raising awareness of kidney disease and organ donation - always with an iced coffee in hand.
